Launch the Season Like a Local at Napa’s Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony Downtown

Join the mayor of Napa and locals for this traditional community event. It’s free fun, perfect for date night or families. Enjoy hot cocoa, Christmas cookies, and entertainment by local youth groups as Napa’s community Christmas tree is lit up in Veterans Park.

  • Wednesday, November 27, 2019.

The ceremony will last until around 9:00 pm, making it the ideal starting point for more romantic, adult meanderings through Downtown Napa.

All Aboard! Support Local Foster Children on the Napa Holiday Wine Trolley Tour

Per the Napa Valley Wine Trolley website: “Hop aboard the Napa Valley Wine Trolley Holiday Lights Tour as we take a joyful tour through historic Downtown Napa, its Victorian neighborhood, Browns Valley and North Napa.”

Every year the vintage Cable Car takes visitors on a fun-filled ride with classic holiday music and lots of holiday spirit. The trolley departs from Oxbow Public Market, at 6:30 pm. The holiday lights trolley tour happens three weekends this December:

  • December 6 – 8
  • December 13 – 15
  • December 20 – 22

Fans of Victorian architecture will be treated to rare pleasures as they admire amazing, historic Victorian homes romantically decorated for your holiday experience. Tickets are $30 for adults and $15 for children under age ten. This tour boasts numerous awards and special mentions, so don’t miss out!

The 13th Annual Hanukkah Hootenanny at Judd’s Hill Winery in Napa Valley

“Sample current vintages and library wines while enjoying beef brisket sliders and our extravagant latke bar. Satisfy your sweet tooth with traditional jelly donuts as you revel in the fine company and grand entertainment… the hallmarks of a lively Judd’s Hill event” says the event website.

Get Inspired at the Oxbow Market Tour and Cooking Class

Savor your morning with a tour of the Oxbow market. Spend time browsing the stalls for lovely local produce, spices, meats and artisan cheeses. Chef Julie will help you select locally grown produce in a whole new light – fresh, flavorful, and bursting with nutrition. Then don your apron and learn how to build the flavor with a unique recipe for the day.

You’ll enjoy a relaxed experience filled great food, the finest wine selections, and have fun while developing your cooking technique.

  • The hands-on class emphasizes cooking theory and technique. Enhance your culinary skills and take your new knowledge home.
  • Lastly, sit down to relax and savor a wine country meal with other aspiring chefs.

The Oxbow Market tour begins at 8:45 am and will carry through your day until 2:30 pm. Dates are November 19, December 2, December 3, December 16, December 17, and the cost is $250 for this early day event.

Toast Your Love at New Year’s Eve Celebration Dinner at The Meritage Resort (for Adults)

Toast your honey with a of glass of Napa Valley’s world-famous wine, and then dance the night away! Make romantic memories that will last a lifetime this New Year’s Eve. According to Eventbrite, “This special evening includes an extensive Wine Country-inspired buffet, live music, party favors, a balloon drop” and a champagne toast to ring in the new year.
