Napa Valley 4th of July Parades, Events, Fireworks and More

“Festival Napa Valley” will be the FREE July 4th celebration at the Napa County Fairgrounds in Calistoga from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM. Each year, the Napa County Fair coincides with Independence Day and provides a full day and evening packed with entertainment and fun for the whole family. Enjoy a parade, carnival rides, free lawn games and contests, live music, arts and crafts, demonstrations by the wine country’s favorite bakers and chefs who will share recipes and behind the scene secrets to being a top chef, indulge in traditional fair food, and more. Be sure to stay for the show-stopping fireworks!

All around the valley, there will be several wine tasting events at local wineries, some outdoor summer concerts, and great shows at the Blue Note and the Uptown Theatre.

Hometown Vintage Parade

Dress up in red, white and blue to help celebrate the patriotic annual Calistoga Fourth of July Parade that is held in the historic downtown Napa from 10:00 AM to Noon moving east down Second Street and then heading west on Third Street. Bleachers will be available at Third and Coombs.There will be marching bands, extravagant floats, special entries by local groups and businesses, dancing horses, and other exciting features. You are welcome to wave your flag along the charming streets to further participate in an unforgettable celebration. The parade is organized by the Sunrise Rotary, and the grand marshals will be organizations that illustrate this year’s theme of “Celebrating Our Home Town Heroes.”

FIREWORKS

After the parade and festival in downtown Napa, head over to Napa’s Veteran’s Park for more festivities. From 5:00 to 8:30 PM, there will be a Kid Zone, live music at the Oxbow Commons from 5:00 PM to 9:30 PM. From 7:00 to 7:30 PM, a “Salute to USA” presentation will be made that will include a presentation of color by Travis Air Force, a flag ceremony, and more. It will all lead up to the grand finale of a choreographed show of fireworks and music at 9:30 PM. The best places to watch will be from Veteran’s Park, the Riverfront Promenade, or Oxbow Commons.

Napa Valley Wine Train

As an alternative, if you really want to celebrate Independence Day with elegance and “in style,” you might want to take the Wine Train that starts at $174 per person. There will be delectable food in a four-course gourmet fresh California cuisine meal and a taste of sparkling wine as well as being able to see the stunning Yountville fireworks onboard the comfortable vintage train as it makes its 3.5 hour spectacular rail tour of Napa Valley. The Vista Dome is their elevated observation-style dining car that will give a panoramic view.
